Will my personal website / digital portfolio be enough when applying for a masters in Graphic Design & Art Direction?

I have some experience in Graphic Design and have been self-teaching over lockdown with my skills already improving greatly. More work will be added to my portoflio before I send off my application for my masters.

  • @Pete Brady Thank you so much for your feedback! My university work wasn't as graphic design focused so the majority of my portfolio work is passion based and/or briefs from businesses! I'll also take note about the sketches and illustrations. :-)
  • HI Alexander, I always love to see students show how they got to the final design as well as the 'shiny finished product' so having a folder on hand full of sketches / illustrations and thinking definitel speaks volumes about how you work and your process.

I would also add in any passion projects you have been working on as well as client work. Most designers only show the commercial work as they think it sits better with the interviewer but I love to what really gets designers fired up.

    Hope that helps slightly.
