Would you like to see your work on show in a gallery for the very first time?

How do I apply?
Please apply by 9am 19th April with a short biography, artist statement (200 words max) and images of your work. Please include titles, dimensions, materials, the price you’d like to sell for and date of execution.

What work can be included?
You can submit entries of 2D, wall-based work, no larger than 2m x 3m either framed or able to be displayed easily or hung, or 3D work which can be set on a plinth or base to display. A maximum of three entries per artist.

Is there an entry fee?
If you’re successful in your application, there will be a £5+VAT fee for students, and £10+VAT for general public.

Who judges work to be displayed?
Short listed artists will be selected by the Not My Beautiful House staff team including Claire Selby, Enterprise Projects Lead at KSA, David Falkner, Director at Stanley Picker Gallery, and Grace Richards, Business Development Manager at Union of Kingston Students. Up to 50 pieces will be chosen to display.

Can I sell my work?
If selected, your piece will be hung by our team and offered for sale in the shop with 80% going to you, 20% to NMBH. You will also be invited to the exhibition opening on May 6th - 7th, which is also our first birthday celebration.

What's the deadline?
The deadline for applications is 9am on 19th April 2022.

When would I deliver my work?
You must be free to deliver your work between 27th April to 1st May to our venue in Kingston upon Thames. We cannot print out your work or produce it for you. Hangings should be attached if the work is framed.

Successful applicants will be notified by email in the following weeks.
If you do not hear from us please assume you have not been successful.
