Writing can be so isolating, and sometimes, even lonely. So how are my fellow copywriters/journalists/poets/ content creators feeling?

It's important that now, more than ever, we check up with each other. Let's create a tight knit community!

  • Terrible. A lot of my work involved writing about festivals and travel... I have lost like 80% of my income :(
  • @Suzan Liban I know what you mean. I adore writing with every bone in my body, but sometimes no response can be more daunting than a negative one. Feel free to send any of your work my way, I'd be happy to support a fellow writer
  • Music makes all the difference! I'm listening to radio shows only on catch up and skipping through the news to get only the fun upbeat bits - mainlining Craig Charles' afternoon shows plus Huey Morgan on Saturdays and Lauren Laverne shows. Then compiling the best hits into my Spotify to relisten another time.
  • Indeed writing can make you look and feel lonely but what keeps me going is my passion for writing. Though to be honest, another factor that does make one feel lonely as a writier is when there is no response at all. For example, if I had been working hard on researching etc. to write an article but in the end get 0 reaction/comments, it can be daunting and depressing. So, yes I agree it is very important to check up and ecourage each others work.
