Guardian columnist Arwa Mahdawi will be joining us for a livestreamed event to launch her new book, Strong Female Lead.
In Strong Female Lead, Mahdawi presents a compelling argument that in times of chaos, a female leadership model might be the more sustainable one. Exploring the qualities demonstrated by prominent global leaders from Jacinda Ardern and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, to Angela Merkel and K.K. Shailaja, as well as asking crucial questions about what gendered leadership myths tell us, Mahdawi encourages the reader to challenge the belief that acting like a man is the answer.
Join Guardian journalist Sirin Kale as chair of our panel, which includes Labour MP Nadia Whittome; Guardian columnist Arwa Mahdawi; co-founder of Black in AI, a community of black researchers working in artificial intelligence and independent scholar Timnit Gebru as they explore the lessons we all can learn from trailblazing women who have done it before.
