About Creativity Works Podcasting

Creativity Works: Podcasting is a full-time six-week blended, immersive training programme taking place between Mon 04 July 2022 - Fri 05 August 2022.

Over six weeks you’ll learn everything you need to know about production, from storytelling to editing & presenting to growing a following and how to keep putting out exceptional content.

You’ll receive training from leaders in audio and broadcasting production. The programme will combine online and In Real Life (IRL) sessions out of our physical space in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, The Good Growth Hub.

Creativity Works is a Mayor’s Fund for London programme.

Applicants must be:
18-24 years old
From a London borough
Not be in full-time employment, education or training

Key dates

Selection day: Applicants must be free for a selection day on the week commencing 13 June 2022.

Programme dates: Mon 04 July - Friday 05 August 2022 (week days / full time)

Participants will also need to be available on Thur 08 Sep (listening party) and Fri 05 Sep 2022 (final session).

The course will include:
  • A live industry brief to produce your own 5–10 minute podcast
  • Use of a Macbook pro and the Adobe Suite for the duration of the course
  • Access to industry leaders and mentors
  • Industry talks and masterclasses as well as practical workshops

Full time paid roles in content agencies and production companies such as Somethin’ Else, Bauer Media, Sky Creative, Oglivy, being mentored by Capital Xtra's very own Robert Bruce, and working on original content for their own independent podcasts as well as for radio stations including No Signal Radio and BBC Radio 4’s Short Cuts Series.
