Become a Climate Champion for the day and come up with a design for a climate-friendly city.
Suitable for young people at secondary school, aged 11-14.

What to expect
In this workshop, you will learn how to develop design concepts and creative solutions, and what it takes to bring your project to life by working in teams.
At first, we will look at examples of different cities from around the world to understand why designing for climate change is important. The second half of the course will be spent learning about sustainable materials and how to make a 3D model using recycled and waste materials.
At the end of this course, you will feel more confident communicating your ideas using drawings and 3D models, and you can take home your shoebox model and concept.
Participants will have the opportunity to find out more about architecture and planning cities, and to learn what skills are needed to design cities and public spaces.
