Join this one-day introductory workshop to discover methods and tools to measure and reduce your business carbon emissions and learn about innovative design-led net-zero solutions.

What to expect
2030 UK Science-Based Targets require businesses to emit 50% less carbon than they did in 2018. Do you know what your 2018 emissions were? This course will teach you design-led methodology to measure and reduce carbon.
This one-day introductory course will support you to implement carbon reduction actions immediately. Whatever business sector you are in, or level of design interest or expertise, the workshop will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to start decarbonising your business.
Through the facilitation of designer Alexie Sommer, you will gain practical insights from a team of experts and business leaders including HSBC, Notpla and Climate In Colour. Aimed at leadership teams and those tasked with greening their organisations, this course will teach methodologies including Life Cycle Assessment, GHG Protocol and carbon management platforms.
Presenting case studies along with innovation stories from our previous exhibition 'Waste Age: What can design do?', the course will explore innovative carbon tracking solutions and provide a rich and stimulating mixture of new ideas and practical applications.
Participants will work in teams to discuss the opportunities and challenges that carbon removal presents and develop a carbon reduction action plan for their businesses.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
