Have you ever thought about the carbon footprint of your digital life? Or, perhaps, you are familiar with the concept of greening the web but don’t know where to start? Then this event is for you!
Come along to “Cut your digital calories - Digital spring cleaning” virtual workshop, an informative and interactive session with amazing Sandy Dähnert from greentheweb.com to help creatives understand how their intangible digital lives do have a very real impact on the planet and what they can do about it. We want to explore, learn and take actionable steps together towards a #greenerweb!
Event’s Format
+ Introductions and a brief overview of the climatedesigners.org initiative
+Main session: a 1-hour-long workshop focused on understanding why cutting digital calories is good for your digital footprint (and your mind!), what you can do about it and how to craft an actionable digital cleanup plan.
+Friendly chat in different breakout rooms to discuss what we’ve learned and any other topic within the realm of designing for climate action, sustainability and the planet
+Closing remarks & good night.
The small print
+The ZOOM link to attend will be shared by email a couple of hours before the start of the event with everyone who has RSVP’d
+The main session will be recorded in order to make the learnings and key takeaways available to the wider creative community.
+The workshop will have a hands-on interactive component for which you'll get a workbook to download before the event.
+ Due to the friendly and inclusive nature of the climate designers community we encourage everyone to turn on their camera and actively engage with others during the final part of the event (networking in breakout rooms). However, you can also choose to only join for the main workshop session and then leave early. No hard feelings!

Hi, I’m Sandy, a freelance Green UX/UI designer from Cologne, Germany, with lots of love for design, planet earth and hammocks. I support brands and businesses to create ecologically sustainable websites, applications, online shops and other digital stuff. I guess my passion started back in 2016 in Nicaragua where I volunteered for an environmental NGO and fell deeply in love with this amazing nature that surrounds us. There are ecosystems that need our support and as entrepreneurs and designers, we got the power to do something about it.
