Ukie and Into Games, working on behalf of the games sector, has successfully become a gateway partner in the Government’s Kickstart Scheme which provides funding to companies taking on young people out of work as a result of the pandemic.

45+ game studios – including EA, nDreams, Splash Damage, and Jagex are currently enrolled in the scheme and have created 165 new entry-level roles in programming, design, art, marketing and HR.

Join us for this free Into Games lunch and learn event where we will be sharing more details about how Kickstart works and how you can get your organisation involved in this incredible scheme.

In this talk you'll learn:

  • How easy it is to get high quality, diverse talent into your organisation
  • How to get the scheme to pay for 6 months of their wages AND get £900 to help them start in the role
  • Why doing this through our Gateway makes it a quick and easy process

***More information about the Kickstart scheme***

Kickstart is a Government scheme aimed to help support young people back into work after the economic effects of the pandemic. It’s aimed at 16-24-year-olds who are not in education and are currently claiming universal credit.

Each paid placement will give a successful applicant a chance to take a step into the games industry, with support from Government to help cover the cost of employment, while also receiving wraparound training, support and mentorship from the Into Games team to help develop their career further.
