Join us for an interactive workshop where you will learn how to check and fix your light seal on an analogue camera followed by a photowalk!
About this event
We open our doors on the last Thursday of the month for creatives to use our office space, wifi & computers to work on existing projects, meet new people and to be in a creative and supportive environment. We know working as a freelancer, applying for jobs or working from home isn't easy - so come and join the TPF community to meet new people and get work done.
For July’s co-working day, we will be hosting an exciting workshop and photo walk.
Pierro Pozella from PPP cameras will be joining us to deliver an in-depth and interactive workshop which will talk you through how to check and change your light seal in your analogue camera, which is one of the main causes of light leaks and faulty cameras.
After the workshop, participants will be led on a photo walk around the local area, which will be an opportunity to try out your handy work. Pierro will provide every participant with a roll of film, and a free development and scan of the roll used during the walk.
Event details:
This event will be spilt in to two parts: a morning workshop, followed by an interactive photo walk. The day will run from 9.30am to 1pm.
- 9.30-10am – arrive and tea and coffee
- 10-10.30am - A presentation covering: what are light seals and why do they need changing? How to check your light seals, what to look out for when checking them, how to know when they need changing and how to check your mirror bumper and when that needs replacing.
- 10.30-11am – demonstration and Q&A with Pierro
- 11-11.30am – it will be your turn to change your seals! (all materials will be provided, and you will be overseen by Pierro).
- 11.45am - we will then set off for the photo walk, and test out your light seals!
- 1pm – return to TPF studio (optional to stay and continue working/networking)
Every participant will get a free roll of film, and developing from PPP’s Lab.
Please bring your own film camera with you.
