"Money Talks" is a three-part series including interviews, workshops and panels brought to you by For Working Ladies. The events will take place over three nights from May - June with the aim of creating a space to demystify the world of personal and business finance. In part three, we'll be chatting all things crowdfunding to kickstart/grow your business.
If you’re a female entrepreneur, crowdfunding can be one of the best ways to raise the finance you need to grow your business. In 2016, one-third of all deals into female-founded companies came from crowdfunding. Research shows that women are more successful at crowdfunding than men, 17%of male-led campaigns reach their finance target, compared with 22% of female-led campaigns.
This event is set up as part workshop, part panel talk with four extraordinary female entrepreneurs.
Agenda:
7:00 - Doors Open, mix & mingle!
7:15 - What is crowdfunding? presented by Kelly Angood. She has launched five of her own successful Kickstarter campaigns, helped raise over $4MM for campaigners on Indiegogo and launched her own company.
7:30 - The Art of Storytelling presented by Sonder & Tell. Emily Ames and Kate Hamilton cofounded Sonder & Tell, a content and communications agency that helps story-driven brands find their voice and express themselves. Clients include Airbnb, Good Hemp, Jigsaw and Sacla. They were recently recognised in the Forbes 30 under 30 European list for the great work they have produced and have published a book in partnership with Women for Women UK.
