Join us for the latest RSA Sustainability Network event focusing on putting your savings and investments to work for people and planet.

As the Guardian’s financial journalist Rupert Jones says “arguably the most powerful environmental changes you can make involve your finances, whether it is the cash in your current account or the money you are saving for retirement.” Can you put your savings and investments to work for the planet?

The scale of the climate crisis is huge; for all of us individuals, it can feel like whatever we do won’t make a difference. But as Mark Carney, former Bank of England Governor and now UN Special Envoy on Climate and Finance, points out “investing in net zero climate solutions creates value and rewards.”

In this panel discussion, we have three people who are helping transform the financial management industry to help you put your money to work for people, planet and local communities.

  • Anneka Deva is the project leader for OwnIt, which empowers women to move money for the good of the planet, with the goal of moving £1bn of personal finance by 2030.
  • David MacDonald is the Founder of Path Financial, a leading ethical financial adviser and wealth management company who invest in people and planet.
  • Jules Peck FRSA is the Founding Director of Avon Mutual, a start-up regional bank in the South West of England, with the aim of creating a sustainable and inclusive economy for their region.

We will hear from each speaker and then there will be an opportunity for questions and general discussion led by David Cope FRSA.

We are opening this online event up to friends of Fellows, so please invite one guest to join you who you think would be interested.
