Join Paul Grant, founder of The Funding Game, to get clarity on how to attract the right investors

About this event
Join Paul Grant, founder of The Funding Game, to get clarity on how to attract the right investors and position your business for growth in an uncertain economic environment.
Recent global events have shifted the funding landscape, and what used to work when raising capital is no longer effective. But it's not all doom and gloom. This is an opportunity to reset and revitalise the growth of your business for the uneven recovery ahead, rise above the noise and attract your ideal investors.
By the end of this event you’ll know…
  • The funding seasons and how to make the most of each one
  • What works in raising capital today and how other entrepreneurs have done it successfully
  • The different steps to take, depending on whether your business is in the start-up or scale-up phase
  • How to demonstrate market validation to investors
  • The hottest sources of capital available right now
  • A step-by-step approach to agile funding
  • The most important investment terms you may not have heard of
  • How to research, pitch to and outreach your ideal investor
  • The best time to secure investment
  • Actionable advice and steps you can take right away
This event is for ambitious entrepreneurs who are either in the startup phase, and are unsure of how or where to raise the capital to launch, or who are already trading but need more capital to reach profitability and scale.
At the end of a session there will be a live Q&A to help with any specific funding challenges you have, and to provide further guidance on raising investment for your business.
We’ll also include a BONUS tool that will accelerate your research phase ahead of securing conversations with the right investors. You’ll receive the tool shortly after the live session so that you can make use of it at a time convenient to you.
Expert speaker
Paul Grant knows what it’s like to be on both sides of the funding fence. As an entrepreneur he raised funds for his own business, securing capital from business angels, bankers, family and friends, and even a government grant.
After seven years of trading, he exited his business in 2003 and was invited to join a private equity company, Capital Partners, eventually heading up the business angel
division. Here he had access to nearly 5,000 angel investors and reviewed more than 1,000 business plans every year.
During this time Paul learnt a lot about why so many businesses fail to secure the funding they need in the startup and growth phases. Paul has met with many investors, bankers and venture capitalists over the years, and in the course of his work has uncovered what they are really looking for. More importantly, Paul has developed an approach to raising capital that works. He is keen to share with you what he has learnt as an entrepreneur and as an industry insider.
