Spend the day in our North Greenwich studio with likeminded creatives to work on current or new projects!

About this event
We open our doors on the last Thursday of the month for creatives to use our office space to work on existing projects, meet new people and to be in a creative and supportive environment. We know working as a freelancer, applying for jobs or working from home isn't easy - so come and join the TPF community to meet new people and get work done!
For the last co-working day of the summer, we're delighted to be joined by Michael Crawford-Hick. Michael is an engineer with a passion for travel and sports photography, which he has turned into his profession. In 2022, Michael was diagnosed with a chronic illness which has changed his approach to his career and photography. In response to his illness, Michael set up the Disability Sports Network to spotlight disabled people in front of and behind the lens.
During this workshop, Michael will share his career journey to date, some of the challenges that arise as a photographer living with a disability, and his approach to photography now. He will share practical tips and a live demo - supporting you to unleash your inner sports photographer.
Itinerary:
  • 9.30am – doors open, arrivals and tea and coffee
  • 10am - introductions and an overview of the day
  • 10 – 10.30am – introduction to sports photography, and Michaels journey into sports photography
  • 10.30 – 11am – overview of preparing for sports shoots, what kit and settings to use – with Q+A.
  • 11-12pm – head to a local roof top basketball court, working in pairs to take photos and experiment.
  • 12-12.30pm - head back to the studio for a debrief and Q+A.
Participants are welcome to stay and work from the studio after the workshop (and edit photos if you have a laptop). Michael will be available to answer any questions until 3pm.
