Join the Leica Akademie UK and acclaimed Australian street photographer Jesse Marlow for this two-day London summer street photography masterclass.

This workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of street photography so you can begin to overcome potential fears of shooting in public and the technical and creative confidence to begin to make your own striking street photographs.

Split over two days, the aim of the workshop is to spend as much time out shooting as possible. With two shooting sessions under Jesse’s guidance along with an introductory theory session and an in-depth critique and post-processing session at the end you can expect to come away from the weekend with a consistent portfolio of street images to build upon.

This workshop is great for beginners, those new to street photography or those looking to push their street skills to the next stage as the tuition is tailored to help each individual build upon their current skill set while also getting out and about in the vibrant streets of London in the summer.

Topics covered:
  • Creating photographs vs. those that happen spontaneously
  • Content vs. form
  • How to discover pictures, anywhere
  • Approaches to photographing people in public
  • Developing awareness and anticipation
  • Judging when and where to be as events unfold around you
  • The process of discovering a “style”
