About Women In Jazz
The partnership began in 2018 by cousins Louise Paley and Nina Fine. Prior to 2018, Louise had worked closely with young women in Jazz for a number of years - many who had the talent and skills to win places at the best Jazz college across the world. Over the years Louise kept noticing the same trends: some of these artists had little or no confidence to pursue a career in Jazz, even though they were in her eyes, some of the top talent in the UK. One day she thought: I really want to help these artists; champion their talents and inspire the next generation of women.
Louise and Nina met at the iconic Premises Cafe in London to brainstorm ideas for a Women in Jazz radio show. At Soho Radio, they met artists from different backgrounds and Jazz expressions to find out about their stories. Flash forward to October 2020, and Women in Jazz has an online community made up of 8,000+ Artists; programmed sell-out shows at Ronnie Scotts, Wilderness and Love Supreme Festival featuring world-class musicians such as Zara Mcfarlane and Liane Carol; run successful public series of DJ and Radio workshops led by preeminent women in all aspects of the music industry; led masterclasses at Guildhall School and Tomorrow’s Warriors to help artists get to the next stages of their careers, and established strong relationships with music tastemakers Worldwide and Jazz FM.
About Clonmell Jazz Social
Clonmell Jazz Social (CJS) is a record label and events organisation, committed to showcasing the most exciting and innovative music on the UK’s vibrant jazz and improvised music scene. Through a mixture of live events, videos, and music releases, CJS is constantly featuring a wide range of contemporary artists that display not only incredible talent and artistry, but also push the boundaries of the genre through their varying approaches to music.

In 2023 alone, the CJS record label has already had two album releases, Harry Christelis' 'Nurture the Child / Challenge the Adult' and Dave Storey Trio's 'Circeo', both of which have been met with widespread critical acclaim internationally. More exciting releases are planned for the rest of the year, including the greatly anticipated debut album from Nell Greco 'Inanima'.

Since 2015, CJS has hosted events across London. This includes the hugely successful Jazz Weekender festival in Greenwich Peninsula, a free event that welcomes all to spend an afternoon listening to an eclectic mix of incredible artists, and introduces them to new audiences. Furthermore, CJS is now involved in programming a selection of concerts for each year's EFG London Jazz Festival. Concerts take place at London’s famous Green Note, an intimate space in Camden that offers a truly immersive listening experience.
Events have included a wide range of the UK’s most innovative and celebrated artists, such as Nathaniel Facey, John Edwards, Ruth Goller, Chris Batchelor, Daisy George, Waaju, James Allsopp, Glasshopper, Dave De Rose, Chris Montague, Harry Christelis, Nell Greco, Pedro Velasco, Dave Storey, Bruno Heinen, Andrea Di Biase, and many more.
