Title: Business Operations Assistant Manager
Department: Retail Operations
Reports into: Senior Field Communication & Business Operations Manager
Location: London
Position Overview:
Business Operations Assistant Manager will serve as a key member of the European Retail Operations team and act as a strategic partner to senior management.  The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager and will lead efforts to support the retail stores in forecasting, administrating and reporting on store payroll. You will work closely with cross-functional groups to ensure the successful pilot of new programs whilst also activating new, exciting ideas that can help elevate our stores and drive sales. This position will interface directly with field and corporate leaders.
What You’ll Do:
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships with field leaders and corporate partners to develop monthly payroll plans and forecasts and drive expense leverage and productivity.
  • Implement, Develop and Improve reporting for store, field, and corporate leaders to drive accountability in worked hours and census compliance
  • Lead WFM training to field leaders to determine and communicate process improvements in scheduling and efficiency within the WFM system
  • Prepare and participate in the monthly payroll reviews with field leaders
  • Liaise with all corporate areas (Planning, Marketing, Loss Prevention, Buying, etc) to ensure all workload for stores is captured.
  • Build and maintain a retail planning calendar so that all parties are up to date on retail actions and are coordinating through the proposed action in a retail store.
  • Be a key part of the sign-off process for proposed workload and communications going to the field.
  • Task timings and projects, plan the workload within the Calendar and review cost in terms of hours and payroll.
  • Training timings and completion, measure the business return on all training across all departments
  • Help all parties stay on schedule and task during peak trade periods, and ensure a smooth transition from season to season.
  • Gather field feedback to determine what tools and resources the store needs and then work cross-functionally to implement these ideas into stores.
  • Ensure that all projects are assigned and delivered in a timely fashion and by the assigned due date.
What we want to see:
  • Ability to engineer complex solutions in Excel or other programs
  • Presentation skills to share information with senior management
  • Have completed annual staff planning in a store
  • Experience with workforce management systems required – Dayforce and Workday preferred
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong quantitative, and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction effectively
  • Well, organized with an ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
  • Ability to travel to retail locations
