As Challenge Events Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Fundraising Events Lead in the management and delivery of high-profile celebrity broadcast challenges as part of the Red Nose Day 2025 campaign. You will assist with the management of internal project team activity and the coordination and management of all aspects of challenges, both during the planning phase and throughout the delivery of the live event on the ground. Depending on the scale of the final portfolio, you may be required to lead the delivery of one of the live Challenge Event projects.
Supporting the Fundraising Events Lead in the management of teams of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure all aspects of the challenge(s) are delivered effectively, working towards campaign objectives
Developing project plans and monitoring progress, evaluating and updating plans as required to ensure they are adapting to changing circumstances
Producing regular reports on the progress of our challenge events
Identification and management of project risks, issues, and dependencies
Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop live event plans, logistics, operations plans, risk assessments, live content requirements, communications plans and content delivery (e.g. logistics of film crews, photographers)
Working closely with external delivery partners to ensure safe and successful development and delivery - this will include working with external media broadcast outlets or television production companies
Oversee administrative aspects of Challenge Event delivery, such as booking travel and accommodation, processing visa/permit applications, creating kit lists, updating daily schedules and plans, and producing team briefing documentation
Processing and tracking invoices and ensuring all financial processes and procedures are followed
Tracking spend for your projects and providing regular budget updates
Writing Risk Assessments and supporting the development of health & safety, risk management and crisis management plans across challenges
Responsibility for certain aspects of live event delivery of the live event, as directed by the Fundraising Events Lead
Monitor, share and evaluate delivery, capture lessons learned and make recommendations for future improvements
Essential Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrable experience of the coordination and management of high-profile projects and events involving multiple stakeholders and partners in high pressure environments
Strong organisational and time management skills – planning, managing, monitoring and prioritising
Excellent administration skills
Skilled user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Collaborative worker who with experience of managing teams
Skilled communicator who can effectively build relationships at all levels and
Effective relationship builder with great communication skills
Ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to stay the course during the height of delivery
Desirable Skills and Competencies:

Experience managing or supporting the delivery of competitive sporting events, public participation events, music events or festivals
Production management experience
Experience working in charity or public fundraising
