This position sits within the Consumer arm of BT, which is the largest provider of consumer mobile and fixed communication services in the UK, with over 25 million subscribers, and more than 450 stores on the high street. Three brands sit under BT’s Consumer division: the flagship Consumer brand is EE, together with BT and Plusnet. All working in harmony to provide broadband, home phone, mobile, gaming, TV and entertainment services. The immediate assignment:
This exciting new role will be part of a brand-new squad in a brand-new tribe, and we want you to be a part of it! We're looking for a talented Content Designer to help us create more personal experiences for our users at an exciting time for BT.
As a Content Designer for BT, you’ll be expected to be the objective voice of our users and always put their needs first, especially when designing brilliant content. You’ll be responsible for helping users to step through and navigate our journeys, allowing them to find the information they need in the simplest, smartest way possible.
You'll have the following accountabilities:
  • Design content that meets user needs and is optimised for our digital products
  • Work in a multidisciplinary, agile team to develop the end-to-end user experience
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure our content is evidence-based, user-centred and continually optimised
  • Use discovery and user research methods to identify pain points and user needs.
  • Take responsibility for legal and regulatory governance and compliance of your content.
  • Build, edit and publish content in our CMS platforms
  • Be a design team representative and ensure and advocate a user-centred approach to all the content you create.
You'll have the following skills & experience:
  • Proven experience in user-centred content creation and strategy
  • Ability to map customer journeys and use insights to identify pain points and user needs
  • Experience working with agile, multi-disciplined teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of content publishing processes and various content management systems
  • Experience in using data and insights to inform decisions and improve content
  • Knowledge or experience in designing for inclusivity and accessibility.
