Avant Arte is a curated marketplace that makes discovering and collecting art radically more accessible for a new generation. Our team of passionate experts collaborate with leading contemporary artists from across the globe to create bespoke limited-edition artworks to browse and collect. We began as a cult blog of contemporary artists and since 2015 we've grown our community to over 3.3 million strong across more than 100 countries. We're proud to collaborate with leading contemporary artists to create limited edition works - from sculpture editions and works on paper to NFTs and hand-finished silkscreen prints.
We’re a small team with really big ambitions, both for what we want to achieve and also the environment we’re building. We want to create a company that remains thoughtful as we scale and tries to be genuinely progressive in how we operate. We want people to really own what they do and be given the autonomy and freedom to make mistakes, learn, and create something meaningful.
We all work incredibly hard because we really care about what Avant Arte is here to do – we’re looking for exceptional people who are proactive, hungry to learn, and want to put their pride in our collective achievements.
We know that creating an inclusive environment that promotes and values diversity is critical if we want to build something with impact and meaning. We believe that having diversity in age, background, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective will make us an infinitely better company. In 2022, we were shortlisted for Women in Tech’s Best Employer - Small Company and Best Benefits.
We’re looking for a CRM Executive to support the day to day running of Avant Arte’s CRM and email marketing. This role is integral to Avant Arte’s marketing strategy, and is unique in blending systematic CRM processes with creative strategies tailored to specific artist campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on both the technical and creative aspects of CRM.
Over the past few years, Avant Arte has built up a sophisticated CRM and email marketing function that sits at the heart of our programme of editions. A tailored email marketing strategy underpins every one of our releases, guiding collectors along the journey from initial interest to the moment of launch, and through to post-purchase. With one of the largest, most data-enriched CRMs of art enthusiasts around, email allows us to deliver tailored communications that connects collectors with artwork they love, and introduces them to artists they are yet to discover.
We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved but the core of your role will involve:
Build business as usual marketing emails for the majority of our releases
Build and manage automated workflows to nurture leads and drive conversions
Create and implement SMS campaigns to support release marketing
Utilise predefined playbooks and templates that align with our brand guidelines
Audience targeting and segmentation
Assist the CRM Manager in developing effective segmentation strategies to target relevant audiences for each release
Support the segmentation of customer lists based on predefined criteria to enhance the effectiveness of email and SMS campaigns
Support the CRM Manager with continuous testing of campaign elements, including sequencing, content, and audience segmentation
Monitor CRM performance, analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement
Cross-functional collaboration
Support the Sales team with any email builds that align with CRM strategies.
Work closely with the eCommerce team to ensure product builds are aligned with CRM initiatives.
Collaborate with the content team to create compelling email content, including subject lines, copy, and visuals. Ensure all asset requirements are briefed and delivered on time.
The main skills we’re looking for are:
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effective at working with cross-functional teams.
Good writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive copy for email campaigns.
Analytical skills and commercial acumen, open to testing new ideas and validating them with data.
We think you’ll probably have:
1+ years of experience in the CRM Marketing field
Hands-on experience with a CRM marketing tool (e.g. Hubspot, Klaviyo or similar)
Experience working in a start-up or fast-paced e-commerce environment is desirable
Don’t meet every single requirement? Avant Arte is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic team so we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
