Description

To support the Events team to deliver a range of high–profile internal and external events for stakeholders across the business.
What you'll do:
  • Working on creative briefs with the team, including theming, entertainment, hospitality and guest experience.
  • Supporting on guest comms pre-event and guest list management.
  • Supporting Senior Event Managers in meetings, capturing actions and circulating when needed.
  • Collating branding assets for events, assisting with print item design and delivery.
  • Liaising with suppliers to negotiate lead times, rates and delivery.
  • Researching and contacting venues, collating information and availability, organising venue visits.
  • Completing venue and supplier contracts.
  • Creating production schedules to manage event actions and timings.
  • Managing logistics for the Events and Projects team, production crew, guests/talent/speakers inc. briefing documents, call sheets, running orders, travel and accommodation where required
  • Compiling, updating and reconciliation of the event budgets.
  • Arranging debriefs and collating portfolio post event.
  • Responsible for team technology/devices.
  • Assisting with management of team email inboxes and responding to enquiries.
  • Managing large and small-scale print requirements for the team.
  • Creating venue decks for stakeholders and to keep a venue database updated.
  • Managing Team storage unit.
  • Deputising for Team assistant when on leave (Finance payments)
What you'll bring:
  • Preferable multiple years experience helping to deliver a broad range of events
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and a comprehensive grasp of the Microsoft 360 suite. Photoshop is preferrable.
  • Well-organised, process-driven and action-orientated.
  • Excellent communication incl. written and interpersonal skills
  • An unfazed multi-tasker, able to balance multiple priorities, whilst maintaining a calm and patient demeanour.
  • Proven team player, always working collaboratively.
  • Can-do attitude and a problem solver who uses their initiative essential in this role.
  • A high level of discretion due to the nature of sensitive and confidential material and content the team process
  • Flexibility – due to the nature of the role, it will involve some evening work and occasional weekend work to deliver specific events.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Sky as Europe’s leading media and entertainment company
Events Team
The Events team forms part of External Affairs. We support the wider business by showcasing all that is great at Sky to our consumer, colleague and corporate audiences in live and virtual environments. Working closely with almost every department at Sky, we create innovative, sustainable and best in class events (e.g. Product and Press Launches, Leadership conferences, Content Premieres and Hospitality) to reinforce both the corporate narrative and deliver on the business objectives. We are considered brand guardians, helping to leverage campaigns and drive talkability about content, products and services.
