BAFTA is looking for an Events Assistant to join their busy and talented Awards & Content team on a fixed-term contract to July 2025!
BAFTA is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hard-working event assistant to support the production of the BAFTA Award ceremonies and varied event programme on a fixed term basis.
BAFTA is an independent charity with a mission to develop and promote the three art forms we support: film, television and games. We do this by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the viewing public.
Our esteemed Awards ceremonies are high profile celebrations of our industry’s greatest achievements, but our Learning & Events programme and Archive projects form the heart of our charity work. Reaching a diverse audience of all age groups, they offer unique access to some of the world’s most inspiring talent.
On-stage events, on-going projects and webcasts encourage the public to deepen their understanding of the art forms they are touched by every day and, at the same time, ensure the creative industries achieve the highest standards.
We rely on funding from membership subscriptions, individual donations, trusts, foundations and corporate partnerships as well as our earned income, to support all our on-going charitable work.
The individual we are looking for needs to demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills. We are looking for a confident, clear and concise communicator who has an interest in a career in event management. A very keen eye for detail is vital for this role. They will need to be self-motivated and hardworking, proactive and able to learn quickly on the job and work to tight deadlines.
The role will require cross working across a whole programme of BAFTA events including but not limited to screenings, ceremonies, galas, open days and press launches.

Salary of £25,650 per year

Someone who can work at speed, in high pressure and busy situations.
