You will be responsible for the leading the finance function for Soho Works in both the UK and US. This will include financial reporting, FP&A, treasury and balance sheet management, as well as acting as a business partner to the site managers and operation heads.
Ensuring timely completion of daily, weekly and month end reporting process for all operating sites.
Review of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution on a monthly basis
Ensuring accuracy of capital expenditure
All non-EBITDA and judgemental accounting entries and adjustments
Providing analytical reviews and commentaries of the monthly management accounts against budget, forecast and comparative periods
Presenting financial results at monthly meetings to operations and group finance teams, and helping strategise any required performance improvements
Overseeing the cashbook, accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring accuracy of postings and timely payment of supplier invoices
Managing the Soho Works UK and US finance team
Liaising with other key internal departments as necessary, including Legal, Marketing, Group and UK Finance
Managing the external audit process and preparation of statutory accounts
Identify and implementing financial process and system improvements
Cash flow forecasting and treasury management for the UK and US
Preparation and analysis of site and support office cash flows
Investment appraisals for new site developments and other capital projects
Working with internal construction and design teams for delivery of new sites and related accounting and cash flow management
Delivering the Soho Works UK and US annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts, working closely with the central financial planning and site operation teams
Delivering the quarterly VAT returns, monthly CIS returns and other filing requirements
Ad hoc projects as required
CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
5+ years’ experience in managerial accounting and financial management in a hospitality or co-working business
Commercially orientated mindset
Excellent working knowledge of financial and database systems, preferably Sage
In-depth knowledge of financial and legal principles and practices
Excellent time management, planning, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
Proven problem-solving capabilities
Pro-active and a self-starter, with an ability to manage key stakeholders
Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management and reporting
