Description

Why this job matters
BT Group has a unifying purpose, a clear ambition, and the strategy to get us there. But the pace of change to meet that ambition is stepping up. As we change, we have to create a community of 100,000 advocates, confident in the future of BT Group. That starts with leadership.
To deliver on our mission, we need a united bunch of leaders from the CEO through to our wider BT Group leadership team (725 leaders across BT Group, including Openreach), the purpose of this team is two-fold.
Firstly, it exists to make sure our leaders feel like one team, pulling together behind BT Group’s plans so that they can advocate for everything, not just their piece of the pie. That means being able to discuss, challenge, get involved, and align behind our strategy.
Secondly, it exists to help our leaders inspire the individual teams they lead. We’ve just launched the leadership standards and they set out the behaviours we want from our leadership teams and it’s on this group to role model them.
That’s where you come in. Working into the corporate internal comms director, you’ll play a vital role in shaping, managing and delivering the annual plan for all BT Group leadership communications activities, as well as supporting the delivery of CEO communications.
In a nutshell, you’ll be a brilliant collaborator working with the CEO’s office, HR leadership and talent teams, and with people across internal comms. You’ll have a passion for how to create a brilliant leadership culture in partnership with HR, proactively measuring the effectiveness of leadership communications and making improvements, including researching new initiatives.
