This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in developing brilliant omnichannel media plans across our owned and paid media, as well as being at the heart of our media planning team to ensure our Media Investment is spent as efficiently as possible across all vertical brands.
What you’ll do:
  • Oversee Sky’s cross vertical annual laydown (The Sync) and management of the process with all Marketing teams to track budgets and campaigns across the year.
  • Support the Connectivity Media Planning Lead to deliver effective media campaigns and plans, whilst actively integrating with our agency, in housed digital & social teams and Marketing team.
  • Provide flexible support across other Marketing vertical teams as required.
  • Challenge the status quo by continuously exploring and evaluating new opportunities and ways of working, delivering media thought leadership and specialist recommendation
  • Assist with the transition to our new media agency by identifying issues with current process and setting up news ways of working to drive media best practice, facilitating a smooth and seamless transition.
  • Responsible for management of the graduate in the team, ensuring they understand their day to day role and have support and opportunities to learn about Media Planning within their rotation.
What you’ll bring:
  • 5+ years of experience of working in planning in a media agency, owner or client in a media specialist role
  • Detailed knowledge of all media channels (integrating offline and online channels), campaign development, measurement and optimisation
  • A successful track record of managing a complex and ever evolving laydown, covering a range of different brands and their respective priorities.
  • Excellent at relationship building, gaining trust and engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to set up, analyse and interpret media measurement studies, with a view to apply the learnings on future campaigns.
  • A self-starter with proven ability to work in a fast-moving environment, working to tight deadlines, running multiple projects and prioritising output
  • A keen interest in Sky and its individual brands, with a good understanding of the landscape and marketplace they Sky sit within.
Team Overview:
The Media Planning team sits within the wider Consumer Strategy department and is the champion of media best practice across the business, developing plans that will drive to the heart of our headroom. In the role you will work closely with our marketing, strategy, and effectiveness teams to use all the rich data & insight we have and ensure it is applied to media planning both in the short term and long term. You will be part of our relationship with our agency partners and ensure we are constantly improving our ways of working to deliver better work and you will champion best practise and develop our marketeers into world class media practitioners.
