In collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you will play a key role in bringing products from concept to market, while also championing our brand and driving customer engagement through PR and marketing initiatives. With a strong focus on quality, distinctiveness, and customer satisfaction, you will have the autonomy to drive innovation, shape the supply base strategy, and make a significant impact in the competitive retail industry. What you'll do As a Product Development Manager for EPP, Core, and Fortified Wine at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in identifying new trends and inspiration to drive innovation in the wine category. Your expertise and experience in wine innovation and development will be utilised to bring new concepts and products to life, from ideation to final execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to shape and lead the long-term strategic thinking for future wine innovation, ensuring alignment and compliance throughout the product development process. Additionally, you will be accountable for delivering PR and marketing engagement plans, activating the Wine product agenda internally, and managing an awards programme. Your role will also involve working with commercial teams to develop food pairing solutions and setting quality benchmarks for product development. Furthermore, you will utilise insights and trends to inform strategy, drive innovation, and ensure customer satisfaction. Your strong project management, communication, and influencing skills will be essential in leading cross-functional teams and driving market growth. Who you are As a Product Development Manager for EPP, Core, and Fortified Wine at Sainsbury's, you are a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the wine industry. With your WSET Wine Level 3 qualification and expertise in product development, you play a vital role in shaping and leading the long-term strategic thinking for future wine innovation. Your strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost of goods, coupled with your passion for new trends and delivering innovation, drive the creation of product plans and engagement strategies that resonate with our customers. With your excellent communication and influencing skills, you effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers, ensuring the seamless execution of product briefs and the delivery of high-quality wines. Your strong project management and analytical abilities enable you to analyse complex data, identify commercial opportunities, and drive market growth. As a custodian of benchmarking for Sainsbury's Brand, you set the standards for product quality and continuously monitor customer satisfaction to drive improvement.
