Overview of job
A Product Lead is a fantastic opportunity for someone to nurture a great team of Product Owners who are empowered and enabled to deliver with speed and impact. The Product Lead is accountable for a portfolio of products, where our mission is to transform technology at the heart of the best media and entertainment on the planet.
You will provide your team with the abilities to successfully execute the strategy and roadmap, performing beyond their own expectations, by removing barriers and creating the right environment for their success.
Fostering a learn-fast mentality with a bias to action and a deep technical understanding you will own problems, not just technology, while relentlessly measuring and communicating the value created to all stakeholders, all of the time.

Measures of success –
In the first few months, you would have:
  • Understood our audio and outdoor businesses end-to-end and developed a view of how your products fit in and drives growth.
  • Fully understood the goals of Global and how these align to the portfolio you are accountable for.
  • Become familiar with the OKRs and KPIs for each of your products and how they are performing.
  • Started to build strong working relationships with your direct team, the wider Product team, and your customers.
  • Identified the main blockers your team are facing.
Responsibilities of the role
  • Create a outcome driven customer-centric attitude, with a continuous discovery mindset.
  • Work with Commercial teams to quickly understand business processes, finding bottle necks and areas for optimisation.
  • Support with hiring, onboarding and retaining diverse and talented and Product Owners.
  • Implement a multi year product vision, strategy and roadmap across a portfolio of products which align to the business strategy.
  • Work closely with your team to create and deliver innovative solutions that are valuable, viable usable and feasible.
  • Define data-based goals and success metrics, and regularly monitor and report on product performance and that of new features.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the technology we use to build our products, assisting with issue resolution and triage.
  • Lead the wider product community, driving best practices and continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Be able to prioritise effectively, making decisions based on data.
  • Coach and develop a team of Product Owners enabling them to reach their potential and career goals.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with peers, stakeholders and teams across the business, leveraging those relationships to build consensus, drive change, deliver value and challenge the status quo.
What you will need
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of demonstrating the following:
  • A passionate and enthusiastic leader who enjoys leading a team.
  • A strong technical understanding of full stack development and APIs.
  • Strong line management experience with ability to lead a team of experienced Product Owners.
  • Experience of working in a complex change environment which encompasses multiple product and development teams.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate up to board level.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to translate commercial strategy into technology initiatives.
  • Ability to act based on gut feeling and experience when needed; willing to take calculated risks.
  • Willingness to get into the detail and get hands on but aware of when to step back.
  • A curious and proactive mindset.
  • Driven to win, always thinking big, while keeping it simple and owning it.
