The team
As a department, we commission some of the nation's much loved Entertainment shows such as Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, and The Voice UK.
We are also responsible for iconic, must-see events such as The Royal Variety Performance, The BRIT Awards, The National Television Awards, Soccer Aid, and many more.
The role
A great opportunity for a Production Coordinator has become available to join our Entertainment and Daytime Commissioning team. Reporting to the Director of Entertainment and Daytime, you will be required to work collaboratively and support the Commissioning team in our business objectives.
At the heart of commissioning, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining schedules, team diary management, taking production notes and forging relationships with key stakeholders.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
  • Proven experience in TV production
  • Experience of working in a pressurised and challenging TV office environment
  • Proven experience and knowledge of entertainment production and scheduling from commissioning through to transmission
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
  • Ability to analyse schedules submitted by production companies
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills and manage conflicting demands to meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills vital, both written and verbal
  • Awareness of multi-platform production/content
  • Able to use systems and adapt to new technologies
  • Able to find information and resources as required
