EXTEND

THE ROLE
The Production Management Assistant  will provide support to the Production Coordinators for the EMEA Creative team where required – providing technical and administrative support, delivering transmission material and assisting with the operational running of the production team.
They will also be required to assist the Creative team with more general duties, such as media management, QC and delivery of all promotional material.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide technical and administrative support to the Creative Team, including Media Management.
  • Assist the Production Co-ordinator and Creative Team in the delivery of all projects.
  • Produce TX logs for edits and audio sessions, accurately enter transmission details into the scheduling data base and accurately enter music details into the scheduling data base.
  • Schedule and manage ordering of material required for monthly promo production.
  • Maintain the organisation of the shared drive and ensure that all material received is filed correctly.
  • Maintaining the media library and archiving system.
  • Maintain the organisation of the shared drive and GLAM, as well as ensuring that all material received is filed and archived correctly on Dropbox and Box.com.
  • Ensures compliance with BBC policies and guidelines, in order to minimise the BBC’s exposure to risk, escalating any issues promptly.
  • Responsible for escalating any operational issues to the Production Coordinator or Manager, where necessary.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;
  • Experience of managing a media library.
  • Knowledge of post-production equipment and procedures.
  • Familiarity with broadcast standard equipment and a knowledge of the media formats regularly used in the production environment.
  • Experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment.
  • Able to demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills and manages conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA;
  • Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relations with a wide range of internal and external contacts, and the ability to deal with contacts with tact and sensitivity.
  • Pro-active approach to self-development and adapting to new ways of working and improvements in production techniques.
  • Ability to use proficiently a range of software packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Premiere and the aptitude to learn new software packages where required

Salary: £24,800 - £28,800 + London Weighting (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working
