As a Data Management Professional on the Corporate Bonds, Data Modeling and Calculations Team, you will leverage your domain expertise to manage and enhance the financial data that feeds Bloomberg products, identify innovative workflow efficiencies, implement technical solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes, and establish links with key players in the financial market!
As a team, we are responsible for reporting and enhancing the quality and completeness of fixed income content for the Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise products. This includes generating standard calculation models for bond valuation to ensure consistent analytical capabilities on the terminal. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting security level data, database issues, bond calculations, specialized updates to our processing tools and/or other update screens, and gathering requirements to review enhancements. You will have heavy interaction with engineering teams to help test new code before it is released to production and work with them so that requirements for new enhancements are complete and easy to understand. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes. You will expand your product knowledge, learn about our clients and their needs, and build relationships throughout the company, all while helping our clients leverage the power of Bloomberg data.
Design, test and implement business rules for programmatic data validation by codifying market conventions and/or data relationships
Develop interconnected data models that enable analysis across datasets
Lead large-scale programs (technical and operational) with enterprise-wide influence through effective program governance, cross-team organization, dependency, risk and issue management, and leadership engagement
Lead ad hoc projects to optimize processes and/or improve the quality of the data set
Contribute to continuous improvement by generating ideas to improve our data products and/or associated processes and building prototypes to validate and illustrate requirements
Augment subject matter expertise and technical skills to generate premium content, including data-driven news stories
Use statistics and data visualization skills to report on results of on-going operations and projects, as required
Partner with a wide variety of stakeholders from Engineering to Sales on product development
Collaboratewith colleagues to drive product development and efficiency for our clients

*4-5 years’ experience of professional work experience in Data Modelling, Quality Assurance or related field
Experience working with fixed income and related financial products
Ability to spot market trends and act on them to enhance depth and breadth of coverage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and high degree of proven decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a frequently changing environment
Demonstrated experience interpreting fixed income documentation, understanding of finance and themes in the market
Experience with technical testing in various engineering environments such as alpha, beta, prod, etc.
Coding and/or querying knowledge, I.e. Python, SQL
Scrum Master experience and proficiency with JIRA
