The position is a key part of the Global Financial Planning & Analysis and Sustainable Performance team, acting as strategic business partner, providing financial insights and guidance, identifying critical business issues, drawing meaningful conclusions, making recommendations for the Non-Chanel entities and analysing and reporting on  the global expense evolution. Driving the evolution and synchronisation of the Global FP&A and Sustainable Performance financial reporting tools.
This position has four primary areas of focus:
  • Collaborate with the Non-Chanel entities, driving the monthly agenda to help maintain profitable business models.
  • Provide monthly updates on the non-Chanel entities, highlighting business performance and or potential risks / challenges to senior Executives.
  • Provide deep analysis on the global expenses’ evolution to senior Executives.
  • Deliver insightful guidance to the Global FP&A team during monthly forecasts bringing attention to key areas of business focus by Market.
Main areas of impact you can create in the role:
Non-Chanel Controlling
  • Work closely with the CFOs of the Non-Chanel Entities (ERES, Orlebar Brown, French Wineries, St Supery…), deep diving into the various business models, assisting them in driving profitability and cashflow management.
  • Review all CAPEX of the Non-Chanel entities, providing relevant benchmarks and recommendations to the Global CFO, including postmortem analysis on the Boutique network.
  • Ensure financial reporting consistency in our internal reporting system with the Non-Chanel entities, working in collaboration with the Management and Financial reporting teams.
  • Working closely with the cash team to understand the cash needs and highlight significant impacts on the global cash position.
  • Report monthly to the Executive teams on month and year to date performance, raising any critical business issues.
  • Adhoc financial analysis.
Systems
  • Collaborate with the Global Finance teams using the various financial reporting tools/systems (Boutique tool, SharePoint, CAPEX …) to map out their evolution, making recommendations for the longer term and synchronisation.
  • Continue to work with CAPITAL to report Non-Chanel boutiques on boutique postmortem review analysis
Global Expense Reporting
  • Participating in Divisional CCBV Budget meetings, gathering insights on key cost compositions and deviation drivers to plan.
  • Lead the global expense consolidation presentation, reporting on expense trends by Division and Corporate, in strong liaison with the Divisions and Corporate planning teams, providing clear information on allocation changes and cost evolution to the Regions.
Ad hoc and Transversal Subjects
  • Contribute towards any ad hoc financial analysis as needed by the department to senior leaders.
  • Participate in the animation and storytelling of the company performance, through presentations to Executive committee and the Board, including but not limited to monthly forecast presentations, budget presentation, financial communication and presentations on a large range of topics.
What you will bring/have:
  • Finance or Data Insights background, educated to Masters, or equivalent level. (CIMA or ACCA desired), with +5 years’ experience
  • Strong finance knowledge and an understanding of financial principles, systems, processes, management reporting and commercial finance, using these skills to challenge, partner and understand the needs of the business teams allowing for swift and informed strategic decisions.
  • Ability to comprehend business issues and develop coherent & comprehensive business solutions.
  • Capacity to work in an international, complex and fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines.
  • Exhibit high levels of motivation and a drive to actively set and influence decisions; strong collaboration with effective communication skills with peers and senior management, with strong presentation skills across various regions and divisions, exerting influence and fostering collaboration.
