Description

Role Purpose:
An important part of Fortnum’s identity is the manner in which we communicate with our customers, through our award winning window displays and the presentation of our products on the shop floor.
The aim of the role is to support the Visual Team Manager in styling and creating product display across Fortnum and Mason unique stores, with excellent VM standards, that encompasses the Fortnum and Masons tone of voice. You will be responsible for supporting the VM Team Manager  in effectively implementing retail VM space projects in accordance to Fortnum and Mason best practice and in a consistent, cost-effective way.
Key Accountabilities
  • To support the Team Visual Manager in the delivery of all visual merchandising. Ensuring the VM content is exciting, industry leading, commercial, inspiring and reflects Fortnum and Mason brand and the Company’s commitment to sustainability and have a discernible point of difference.
  • Works closely with the stakeholders as directed by the Team Visual Manager to provide a full suite of POS and windows, based on the retail Trading and Campaigns Calendars.
  • Support the Team Visual Manager in all product launches in stores, implement actions through the VM stylist and VM Assistant roles.
  • Supports the Retail Managers and VM teams by creating VM fixtures and window solutions to maximise the commercial return, researching VM trends and competitors. And improving the customer experience.
  • Works effectively with internal and external teams to full fill the VM element of a new product fixture brief, Research competitors and source additional props, and materials when required
  • Be responsible for adherence to the Company’s guidelines on VM design and specification and ensure quality control.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of market trends in relation to VM designs and competitor intelligence, to ensure Fortnum and Mason is ahead of the curve and a point of difference.
  • Dressing window & Interior displays according to the current theme & design specification
  • Maintaining window displays throughout the life of the scheme
  • Returning stock to departments from window displays
  • Install and maintain store signage/ticketing when required
  • Assist with shop floor department moves including re-merchandising product
  • Selecting product & organising availability for window installations including maintaining accurate records of stock movement to and from the window.
Role Specific Criteria (Experience/Behaviours/Technical Ability)
We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be really resilient and be able to manage up
  • Excellent diary management to enable you attend meetings on time
  • Robust experience of the CRM systems and processes and reporting mechanisms to enable a function that is growing and maturing at speed
  • Digitally savvy
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred or FRA trained
