I ME CE

I ME CE’s projects are based on the method of "imece" which is a Turkish custom where participants pitch in to help one another in a communal spirit. Inspired by this tradition, I ME CE creates concepts, develops ideas, artists together and supports the creative processes of art to function without any obstacles. One of the main focuses is to facilitate debates, discussions & gatherings focused on art. Ateliers and exhibitions are realized based on the idea of utilizing idle spaces and rejecting a sterile and monolithic interpretation of art. I MECE, therefore avoids galleries and usual exhibition spaces. I ME CE regards keeping the creative process open to observation and cares more about the process than the outcome. I ME CE is defined as an experiment and a happening.
