The Laboratory Arts Collective

We bring original experiences to curious minds

The Laboratory was founded in 1993 by Nigel Daly O.B.E and writer, filmmaker Louise Salter. The company began as an avant garde theater troupe and over the years grew into the multi layered ensemble it is today. The Laboratory searches the world for the diverse and the exceptional and through collaborations we bring original experiences to curious minds. We publish magazines, make films and stage events. Every edition explores a different theme. The Laboratory celebrates the work of established and emerging artists from around the globe as well as cultural czars, designers, filmmakers, creators, free thinkers, rebellious spirits and pioneers in counter culture. In so doing we hope to make the world a better place and keep the flame of curiosity burning. Events are our life blood, they are tied to the magazines in theme, a physical reflection of the printed world. We particularly enjoy the unlikely coupling of site specific destinations. A sense of community, sharing knowledge and creativity is at the heart of everything we do.
