Anti Trädmord AW19/20 PreCollection

The Brief: To create a pre-collection that will be the basis for your graduate collection next semester. Your collection should investigate Experimental Pattern Cutting and Draping Techniques, Fabric Manipulation or Surface Textile Techniques and the generation of original research (in response to your references) to form innovative ideas that can be explored through shape, line, colour and texture. Outcome: 2 Fully manufactured outfits including 1 coat, developmental & final toiles, physical and digital portfolio, sketchbook & research, design development, tech packs, tech folder & sampling, stylised photoshoot, pitch presentation, personal development plan. Collection Statement: Trädmord, the Swedish word for tree murder. This collection has been designed and constructed with a sustainable ethos in mind. Following the Scandinavian design principles and drawing inspiration from furniture, the garments showcase a combination of functionality and minimalist beauty. Recycled plastics have combined with organic fabrics in oversized, romantic silhouettes, that take shape from the counterculture movement of the 60’s/70’s.
