Description

Black Girls Book Club is very proud to announce that in keeping with our personal mission to ensure that in 2018 we continue to live our very best lives, we are launching an exciting new series of events.
Following on from our popular #blackgirlsaremagic brunch, the BGBC parties, ‘Conversations with...’ and the Dope Discussions series - we have decided to host a number of small intimate dinners.
Affectionately called ‘A Seat at the Table’, this event will be an opportunity for us to invite a special guest of honour that we feel has inspired and helped us as we explore our Black womanhood as millennials in the city.
The guest may be someone that you all know or someone that we feel we should introduce you to. The purpose of this event is not only to highlight the achievements of our guest but also to show our adoration to the Black women who have made a difference to our lives, whether it be in the arts, media, literary or even the corporate world.
With that being said we are excited to announce that the exemplary June Sarpong will be the very first guest!
June has enjoyed a 20-year career which has already seen her become one of the most recognizable faces of British television, as well as being one of the UK’s most intelligent and dynamic young hosts. June is a media phenomenon and is the only host of her generation that is equally comfortable interviewing politicians, celebrities and members of the public.

Black Girls Book Club are committed to ensuring that Black women in the UK and beyond are consistently given the opportunity to come together in luxury settings surrounded by dope women, good food and an abundance of #blackgirlmagic. BGBC is not a networking event; it’s a lifestyle.
Bearing this in mind, your ticket for A Seat at the Table entitles you to:
Two course meal
Glass of prosecco
Book
Goody bag
As with every Black Girls Book Club event we have a theme in mind that personifies the mood for the event.
In keeping with 2018 being the year of the Black woman - with much needed events like Black Girl Fest and the July 2018 launch of the official ‘Black Girl Bible’ by the darlings Yomi & Liz, for ‘A Seat at the Table’ we are asking you to come prepared to ‘slay in your lane’.
Whether that be jeans and a white tee or a ball gown we want you to come through looking as a representation of your very best versions of yourself.
If you are committed to slaying in your lane you can pre-order a copy of the black girl bible via amazon. SLAY IN YOUR LANE
Please be advised that tickets are non-refundable
