Graduates, you’ve just spent the last 3+ years of your life studying graphic design, you’re now looking ahead for that next chapter, it’s an exciting one…working in the industry!
You’ve probably had portfolio advice already, but what you really want and need is advice from some industry pros who can give you the very best, most up to date, reliable industry advice to help you land your dream job.
But where do you start? How do you navigate yourself through the confusing job search minefield?
You’re in luck.
Creative Directors Paul Mellor & James Smith of Mellor&Smith and Director and D&AD New Blood Side-Hustle judge Nikky Lyle of Nurture Creatives, as well as Copywriter and Side-Hustler of Letter Lounge Claire Medcalf are hosting a workshop to Bookcamp Your Book and Copywrite Your CV. This is the ultimate workshop package to set you up for your industry job search!
The format is simple, you bring your portfolio and your CV all set up, organised and ready and we give you any advice to help you improve. This isn’t a start from scratch workshop, as time will be limited. Help us to help you and make sure you’re organised, with a portfolio and CV that are pretty much the finished article, that we can help you tweak and build upon.
We will also coach you through salary expectations, run through interview tips and guide you through the process to go from graduate to employee!
This event is free and open to all 2018 graduates only. However, spaces are limited and in high demand. To keep things fair, if you can’t show up, please be courteous to your fellow designers and make sure you cancel 12 hours in advance. This way, we can give your place to another graduate on the waiting list and see as many creatives as possible who would like to be nurtured.
Either do this through the Eventbrite or drop us an email oninfo@nurturecreatives.com.
Btw, something else to bear in mind: Mellor&Smith are actually looking for an Intern, it’s paid work and there’s potentially a job at the end of it!
