Creativity Works: Creative Media Campaigns was a 4-week intensive industry led course co-designed by Create Jobs with Kati Russell (The Girlhood), delivered in partnership with MediaCom, Ogilvy, Wieden + Kennedy and Commercial Break. The programme worked with a talented group of 15 young, diverse Londoners to equip them with the connections, skills and knowledge to progress in their careers in content production and campaign creation for the advertising and content space. The course included masterclasses, go-sees and talks leading to opportunities, access to networks, paid placements and jobs in the content and advertising sector. Participants learnt from the best in storytelling, art direction, design ideation, campaign creation, strategy building, copywriting & content creation and responded to a live brief set by MediaCom and their Time to Change initiative. They also received an introduction to the industry and the many roles that exist. Through an introductory ‘What I Didn’t Know about Advertising’ session led by award-winning agency Wieden + Kennedy, participants were given an insight into the industry and its current landscape, learnt about working with brands and heard from the experts at MediaCom on how you take an idea from concept to campaign.
