Hilton Agora

The anti-meeting room, a space that responds and counterbalances endless meetings where everyone tends to zone out. The Agora Meeting room is a space that is designed to generate creativity. After consulting with behavioural psychologists, each design aspect was chosen to push for the creativity of those using the space at Hilton Bankside. The clay walls is a nod to the Roman history of the Bankside locations well as to the fact that the space itself was below ground level. The ceiling feature is an artificial skylight that can switch between daytime, sunset, presentation, or even event mode. A push for creativity button and a collection of local art and sculptures are featured, in a constantly changing collection, along the clay. 3D terrazzo aggregate magnets transform an entire side of the room into a giant pegboard, while the copper mirror is chalk-pen safe for limitless brainstorming sessions. The table is the main feature of the space - a beautifully handcrafted piece made from London-sourced timber and laser etched with a map of the local area. The inlay brass detail, which hide power and data points, are lay lines of creativity - with Hilton Bankside at the centre and radiating towards other creative hubs of the Bankside area.
