PALAVA - AW22 Knitwear

AW21 was my first season with full design ownership of Knitwear for Palava. I developed my own design process, to follow for future seasons. To begin with, I developed a colour palette from the season’s prints, translating this into yarn colours from the factory. My surface pattern inspiration for this season came largely from 1970s photos, packaging and patterns from vintage Thermos flasks and ceramics, to link back to theme of Collectors. For this collection, I also developed a range of new knitted accessories. This involved several samples and amendments, allowing me to work more closely with our Turkish knitwear factory and agent, developing a good working relationship for future seasons.
