With 5 years of experience across multiple product areas, I am an adaptable designer, looking to make a positive impact within the industry by integrating my diverse skill-set to create joy through design. I thrive on applying my strong organisational skills and pragmatic approach to the creative process, in order to generate well-informed design ideas and grow commercially successful ranges.
I believe that as designers, we have a responsibility to create things which have a lasting positive impact - both aesthetically and within the context of sustainability. With a passion for personal development and growth, I am committed to ongoing learning within my own practice and the wider world.
I have experience designing within different market levels across womenswear, girlswear, accessories and homeware.
Projects
- Hello Sunshine - SS24 Unisex BabywearThis project was inspired by trends for bold colour blocking, deck-chair stripes, sunny graphics, terry towelling and fresh colour combinations. I saw an opportunity in this trend to design a unisex collection for baby, with simple silhouettes given energy by bold colours and prints.
- Le Marché - SS24 BabywearFor this project, I received a brief from a leading high-street retailer, to design a capsule collection for SS24 for Baby. After noticing lots of fruit and abstract flower graphics in my trend research, I developed my concept Le Marché. The colour palette combines the essential lilac hue with other zesty pastel tones, whilst gingham, ribbed and embroidered fabrics intend to soften the vibrancy. It was really fun to incorporate ruffles and gathering into classic babywear shapes, as well as desig
- PALAVA - AW22 KnitwearAW21 was my first season with full design ownership of Knitwear for Palava. I developed my own design process, to follow for future seasons. To begin with, I developed a colour palette from the season’s prints, translating this into yarn colours from the factory. My surface pattern inspiration for this season came largely from 1970s photos, packaging and patterns from vintage Thermos flasks and ceramics, to link back to theme of Collectors. For this collection, I also developed a range of new k
- PALAVA - SS22 KnitwearSoon after joining the PALAVA team, I established myself within my new role as Designer & Product Developer by getting involved and generating hundreds of knitwear design ideas; demonstrating my creativity and Adobe Illustrator skills. As a result, I was able to take many of these designs through to production, and gained design ownership of Knitwear for future seasons. Design inspiration came from exotic plants and geometric shapes found in Mexican architecture.
- PALAVA - SS22 HomewareLaunching my second homeware collection for Palava involved range building the season’s prints into the product types that I had developed in the previous season. For SS22, the womenswear collection had two themes of Grow Your Own and Mexicana, which I wanted to mix together in the Homeware range, to offer many different styling options. Product types, print allocation and quantities were planned through careful analysis of our existing Homeware sales.
