We produced a 'Art exhibition' from the mysterious marks which we found on our travels around Southville. These things which often go unnoticed are what we wanted to communicate. We raised questions about the marks which were left as if they were the remainders of stories. Therefore, we produced labels of possible stories of how the marks came about and placed frames around the marks which made them noticeable and interesting to the public as many people stopped to look at what was being framed.
This raised awareness of these marks as we intended into. But also raised more questions such as is this art? Mark making in most senses can be seen as art and visual communication. So why are these marks often ignored?
We finally produced this into a exhibition guide of all the found marks, to tell their stories.
