The energy flowing out from Madrid’s independent music scene is unavoidable right now. Alongside Spanish trap and Latin-infused club beats, Reggaeton is playing virtually everywhere in the city, from taxis to student nights, high-end clubs and basement bars. The Puerto-Rican sound is finally getting recognition in Spain, after years of being looked down upon by the music industry and mainstream media.
