The Bower Monologues: Letters of love
I illustrated four unique portraits for the first ever print publication of The Bower Monolgues titled 'Love and Lust'.
I created the depictions of the authors for the piece ‘Letters of love’ using Adobe Draw on my IPad Pro. Despite using a digital medium, as always I worked from my initial pencil sketch of the women, allowing me to get the composition and shapes right first.
I was inspired by iconic illustrator John Tenniel who illustrated Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. He’s a consistent inspiration for me, challenging the way I look at portraiture.
I loved proving my illustration for The Bower Monologues, as it’s providing a platform for female voice to discuss culture and intimacy in one place.
