Mind officially BLOWN from being part of Sadiq Khan’s #FemaleFounders scale up mission to Silicon Valley.
Highlights included fireside chats with Cal Henderson (CTO & co-Founder of Slack), Marne Levine (COO Instagram), Xochi Birch (co-Founder of Bebo) and Julie Hanna (Chair of Kiva and former global Ambassador for entrepreneurship under the Obama administration), also being given a personal tour of Facebook by the incomparable Nicola Mendelsohn (girl crush moment!) and Google X by the wonderful Obi Felton.
The icing on the cake was a breakfast meditation session with the ever brilliant Michael Acton-Smith of Calm and sumptuous meals/drinks shared with the inspirational women putting inclusivity on the tech agenda including Oona King at Google, Dora Nagy at SoftBank & Caroline Horne at Andreessen Horowitz.
With amazing women like these working from the inside, I know that we have a real chance of changing the ratio.

So many learnings from the trip, but on reflection the really magic bit was time spent with such a brilliant group of female founders, many of whom will now be friends for life. We shared knowledge, contacts, support and learnings and this is just the beginning of our coming together to collectively help each other scale, because #BehindEveryGreatCity, is an army of epic #FemaleFounders on the rise. Watch out world here we come!
