Visa is the Official Payment Services partner of FIFA. As a FIFA partner for over 10 years, Visa committed to enhancing the experience for fans across the globe during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. To support this commitment, Shiraz deployed innovative hospitality and technology solutions through meticulously curated experiences across three venues. This was my first production with Shiraz Creative where I acted as the agencies Project Manager. We applied a full overlay to the Marriott, Moscow's hospitality spaces where we hosted 2000+ football fans from around the globe during the month of the World Cup. This overlay included covering all of the floors; floor to ceiling covering of the walls; vinyl over the glass balustrades; storing the hotels existing furniture and install of our own, new furniture. On top of this we produced an augmented reality football game which, in partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, inserted the fans avatar into the game next to Zlatan. For this we used Microsoft Hololens and created a custom built body scanning machine which created the fans avatar. Lastly we applied a similar overlay to the Indigo's social spaces, turning them into a Visa branded hospitality suite, where fans could enjoy meals before & after the games, as well as watching games which would be live in other cities.
