Nuri’s music can be best described as a mix of bass, beats and dirty old sounds layered between samples of Afro and Global melodies; a combination which, with an upbeat electronic foundation, results in tracks that implore you to start dancing. Heavily inspired by his Northern African heritage, I interviewed Nuri focusing on the ways he wishes to preserve traditions through his contemporary production of older sounds.
