  • MTV HOTTEST SUMMER SUPERSTAR
    MTV HOTTEST SUMMER SUPERSTAROver the summer a number of campaigns were launched to keep the MTV audience excited and enthusiastic about artists they love. We created a voting system that uses hashtags and tweets for fans to vote for their favourite singers and bands. Tweets are counted in real time and the site was designed with a new MTV look-and-feel. As a responsive site I used front-end development skills to ensure that it worked and looked correct at different viewports and on various browsers.

    I am the creative lead on upcoming landing pages, supplier sponsored campaigns and new features, while working with a range of content producers, developers and merchandisers. I have taken the initiative to work with our front end developers to use atomic design principles to create a range of modules and components that fit to a range purposes and has made creating pages quick and efficient for the content team. As a result of this piece of work we have been able to offer a wider range of real estate for supplier revenue which has risen by 12% in the last year. We have also raised click through and conversion rates on landing pages by creating engaging content with front of mind products that are added to customers’ baskets quickly. I think strategically about customer journeys and work closely with the in-house UX and UI team. I have been heavily involved in new projects, which has resulted in first hand input to user testing, testing content with Maxymiser and looking at customer behaviour by using Clicktale.

    At MTV I was responsible for creating graphics in a fast paced team, designing a range or skins, logos and digital adverts with front-end development skills on a Drupal platform. I was key player in the development of the website from fixed width to a responsive site meaning I have profound experience in creating graphics for mobile, tablet and desktop. I also had the opportunity to work closely with the iOS developer to design new visual elements for various MTV UK apps, as well as creating new apps to promote our programming.
