As an artist they aspire is to create work that highlights and amplifies Black stories using different mediums such as film, theatre and art. Ahadi’s work focuses on using storytelling to inspire and spark important conversations.
Their hope is that this will create spaces for human connection to thrive. By using their experience in creative direction/producing, acting and writing, Ahadi is committed to continue to explore the ways in which art can be used to celebrate and cultivate Black euphoria.
Projects
- ILẸ WACurated by WEARESOUL, “ILẸ WA”, a Yoruba phase that translates to ‘Our Land’ is a project in support of the Soul Purpose campaign that celebrates the creativity and connection between African and Caribbean culture. I am one of 41 artists involved in the project ILẸ WA transcends a book, a film or a phrase; it binds us. It is to inspire all of us to continue to uplift our community, our culture and to evoke joy, creativity and free expression. This, for our people and our land.
