  • Mind your mind
Mind your mindMind Your Mind is a campaign devoted to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people. Driven by their experiences, I have created an informative booklet that reaches out to both parents and their children in an effort to educate and explore what mental health issues are affecting youths today and why it is so important that they should look after their mental health. Teens with mental health problems are at the heart of this entire project. Their voices are central in dealing with topics, information and solutions. While creating Mind Your Mind, I kept in mind that it is very important for parents or carers and their children to work together on these issues. Helping parents and carers to understand their child’s behaviour and enabling them to secure the right professional help for their children is crucial.

Brain boost - Study foodWhen it comes to convince foods the health aspect and nutritional value of these products tend to go the the back of your mind. Students make up quite a large market for these products in an effort to look for fast food and quick fixes during stressful times throughout the college year such as study month. I wanted to see if these quick fixes that students often reach for are actually beneficial. These high calorie process products can lead to a temporary boost of energy that often leads to brain slumps and a loss of concentration. Seeing how food can affect brain activity and how it helps to retain information and influences certain behaviours became an interesting concept for my project. This helped me to conclude my projects intent, to create a design project for students based on the idea of convince food that is healthy to increase and improve their levels of brain function during their study month in a healthy and beneficial way. My project aim is to create a series of attractive and healthy food products that are low in cost but high in nutrition. I intended to create a series of packaging as an appropriate visual method for reaching my target audience, which is college students. I wanted to create imagery that is both visually appealing as a singular image while being eye-catching enough that this product would stand out among other products if it were to be sold,
